San Emigdio
San Emigdio is the Co-patron saint of Torrevieja and the Protector Saint Against Earthquakes. Every year during the first week of August, a host of events are held around this festivity, with popular games, a mobile disco, open-air dances and religious events. Activities take place in the Parque de las Naciones, with the most important act being the Solemn Procession with the image of the Saint that is worshipped in the park's chapel, marking the end of the festivities. |
